SACRED COW: THE CASE FOR BETTER MEAT

At our grocery stores and dinner tables, even the most thoughtful consumers are overwhelmed by the number of considerations to weigh when choosing what to eat—especially when it comes to meat. Guided by the noble principle of least harm, many responsible citizens resolve the ethical, environmental and nutritional conundrum by quitting meat entirely. But can a healthy, sustainable and conscientious food system exist without animals? Sacred Cow probes the fundamental moral, environmental and nutritional quandaries we face in raising and eating animals. In this film, we focus our lens on the largest and perhaps most maligned of farmed animals, the cow.

It's a new year, a new decade, and a new opportunity to regenerate our health and our planet!

2020 is the year of Sacred Cow - the book, the film, the curriculum. We have the chance to reset the trajectory of our lives. Can you believe it?

I'm beyond grateful for the support you've given me. It's amazing to feel so much encouragement as I share this passion project of mine. Thank you.
 
As I announced earlier in the campaign, I'd like to raise $140,000, and in order to ensure that this campaign is as successful as possible I've extended the deadline and created a reward program for those of you who can help me get the word out on social media.

Hi Again!

In less than a week, you all came out and made me feel so supported - I'm unbelievably thrilled that we got so far so quickly!

Because you came out in such a strong force, and we still have some awesome perks to hand out, I’m introducing a stretch goal. More marketing dollars mean more people will see the film, and with an additional $80,000, I’ll be able to implement an even bigger publicity campaign, attend more screenings, and get more press. 

Yesterday on twitter, I re-tweeted this short video. A dad shared a pamphlet that came home from school explaining how kids need to change their diet to save the planet. It even said that grass-fed beef was "worse" than typical beef! The call to action was for kids to adopt a vegan diet. This is absolutely not ok and it seems like nobody is pushing back against this propaganda.

With more funds, I’ll also be able to get this film played in more schools, along with a curriculum that will enable deeper understanding of the important concepts we cover in the film and book. 

100% of the funds raised from this campaign will go directly towards these initiatives. 

Let’s see the real food community rally behind better meat and regenerative agriculture!

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for believing in me! We're nearly half way to our funding goal on the first DAY of the campaign.  I'm speechless.

As we continue to raise funds, I'll be strategizing the outreach campaign. The more money we raise, the better our impact campaign will be!
